Samsung Galaxy S8 review 2022

Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus review has evolved with the times and now includes a more affordable price point.

The Samsung Galaxy S8Plus, even in 2019, is the next big thing. It has a large screen and fast processors, making it functional and affordable to the average person.

The best time to purchase the Galaxy S8 Plus is now due to the launch of yet another Galaxy model. The newer phone will be more expensive and have a bigger screen, giving those who are soon upgrading an opportunity to buy last year's Galaxy S8 Plus instead of waiting until February 20th.

The Galaxy S8 Plus is one of the best large Android phones. If you can’t handle it, you can always get the smaller Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S9 for a more recognizable size.

The phone is nearly the same size but is just a bit taller thanks to the elimination of the useless bezel and Samsung’s oval-shaped home button.

Having the best camera and display means that you're upgrading to the best, most cutting-edge phone.

2018 was a good year for Samsung. With the release of the iPhone X, they were able to experience hints of what the future holds.

The Galaxy S8 is not perfect for everyone. There are other reasons that people may dislike it, such as the length of the phone. One example mentioned is that it can be difficult to reach some of the widgets if you have small hands.

The fingerprint sensor on the phone is outdated and doesn't work well. The new face-recognition unlock feature needs improvement.

5 Reasons You Need To Know The Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus

The Samsung Galaxy S8Plus is a great phone. It has a large screen, but it’s smaller than other phones so it’s easy to hold. It has what we had been asking for years: a bigger screen on a phone that’s still small enough to be comfortable.

Samsung found a perfect balance in design, with a larger screen and thinner bezels.

With a large screen without an increase in size, this new phone is going to give you more room for scrolling and less time touching screens.

The iPhone 7 has a smaller screen than the S8 Plus, but is just as tall and weighs similarly.

The iPhone X will not be easy for those transitioning from 4.7-inch or 5.1-inch displays. You need at least two hands to interact with it, or one hand juggling to get the job done.

The new design of the Galaxy S8 Plus highlights the key feature-the 6.2-inch screen. The colors on this phone include Midnight Black, Orchid Gray, and Arctic Silver

The placement of the camera has improved and the S-A-M-S-U-N-G logo is no longer visible on the screen.

Samsung has put the camera on the back of the phone in a new way, eliminating the ugly rear camera bump. We’re happy about this decision because we found out that the unprotected Google Pixel XL will spiderweb when any part of the back glass shatters and renders your main camera useless.

The Samsung S8 has an IP68 rating, which makes it dust and water-resistant for up to 1.5 meters underwater for 30 minutes. You can probably take it deeper than this, but we don't suggest testing your luck or your warranty.

Samsung has finally switched over to the USB-C for charging and data transfer, allowing the user to insert their phone without difficulty.

Samsung has kept the 3.5mm headphone jack and includes premium earbuds with clear audio in the box. Early rumors that said Samsung would get rid of the headphone jack were dismissed.

The speaker is located at the bottom of the device, which can hinder proper viewing during landscape mode on YouTube. Its configuration is seen as archaic when it should be a front-firing speaker for this purpose. The issue with the iPhone 7 - a device that does not have this problem, is indicative of Apple beating Apple to the punch.

About that fingerprint scanner

Samsung Galaxy S8 is off-centered and awkwardly tough. Watch our video to find out why the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus is better than its competition .Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus reviews, Face unlock is wildly inaccurate while the iris scanner is okay. A new home button called the “button” made its debut. With it, Samsung has switched to capacitive “recent” and “back” buttons rather than their physical counterparts.On-screen buttons on Samsung phones aren’t available for many non-Samsung owners. They have been used on LG, Google, and Motorola phones for years, and by now people are used to their disappearing act when watching a movie that takes up the entire screen.

Display

6.2-inch screen with a 18.5:9 aspect ratio and HDR support

The most beautiful phone screen ever, even if mobile HDR video isn't here yet

The immersive AMOLED screen is maxed out at Quad HD and defaults to 1080p

The Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus has the best phone screen in the world, and for more reasons than simply because it packs a lot of extra pixels. That's not all that's going on here.

Its new 18.5:9 aspect ratio elongates the screen dimensions to give you more viewing space; you can train your eyes on two to three Facebook stories at once in your news feed, instead of having to keep scrolling just to read parts of one.

It's all thanks to Samsung's "Infinity Display" impressive screen-to-body ratio of 88%. The Galaxy S7 Edge had what we thought was a good 76% ratio, while the iPhone 7 Plus has about a 68% screen-to-body ratio.

Reading is certainly easier and split-screen multitasking is less cramped, but because it deviates from the traditional 16:9 aspect ratio, the phone throws out black bars when playing video content. This didn't bother us as much as we thought it would, and that's partly because every S8 color option has a black front. It blends well.

Samsung also gives you some familiar options that you'll remember from when HD first hit the scene in the SD world. You can choose Smart Cropping, which fills the entire extra-wide screen (some content is cut off at the top and bottom), or Fit Screen with black bars.
